Weekly sessions at Oakwood-

The Discovery Lab – Sessions for children aged 9+, Wednesdays 10.30-3.30 during term time, using experiments, crafts and games as a doorway to the deeper exploration of nature, science, maths, culture and creativity. Plus plenty of time to hang out, make friends and connect with each other and nature in our cozy classrooms, gardens and woods. Sliding scale £25-40 per day. Little Squirrels Thursdays 10.30-3.30 for home ed kids aged 5-9, cost £35 (half price trial spaces may be available- please ask). Each day has the same rhythm- Morning check in is followed by exploring a weekly nature theme, from pond life to moon cycles to foraging and more. The day will have a break for cooking on the campfire, though packed lunches are encouraged to supplement our campfire snacks. The afternoon will be led by the children, whether they wish to focus on whittling, den building, hammock chilling, making fires etc. the choice is theirs and the group facilitators will do their best to offer a wide range of opportunities. The day ends with a closing circle during which the children can reflect on their day, make plans for the next session and request further resources for their projects.
